For services provided by Weathers Pest Solutions

Service Booking, Cancellation and Refunds

Booking: Services can be scheduled by contacting us (phone, email, or through our website). Weathers Pest Management will confirm your appointment and require a deposit for large or non-routine jobs. Please provide accurate information (address, access instructions, known pest issues or hazards) at booking.

Cancellation by You: You may cancel a booked service by giving notice (we recommend at least 48 hours before the appointment). If you cancel with sufficient notice (48 hours or more), any deposit or pre-payment are non refundable. Cancellations made with less notice may incur a fee (for example, loss of deposit) to cover our costs. In line with UK consumer law. If a service has already begun during this period at your request, we will charge only for the work already done.

Cancellation by Us: On rare occasions we may need to reschedule or cancel an appointment (e.g. due to emergency or illness). If we cancel, we will try to give you as much notice as possible and offer an alternative appointment.

Refunds: We may deduct any reasonable costs already incurred (for example, if chemicals have been purchased specifically for your treatment). If you are dissatisfied with our service, please contact us within 7 days so we can try to resolve the issue. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

Payment Terms

Payment Terms: All invoices issued by Weathers Pest Solutions are due for payment immediately upon completion of the service, unless stated otherwise in writing.

Payment Methods: We accept payment by credit/debit card, bank transfer, or cash (subject to agreement). For invoiced work (for commercial or repeat customers), any alternative payment schedules will be agreed in writing.

Failed or Late Payments: If payment is not made in full once the service has been completed, Weathers Pest Solutions reserves the right to apply additional charges, which may include:

  • Administrative fees for the work involved in pursuing the unpaid amount.
  • Late payment charges at the statutory rate allowed under UK law.

Court Action for Non-Payment (Court Action Only): If payment remains outstanding, Weathers Pest Solutions will initiate court proceedings to recover the amount owed. The customer accepts full responsibility for all costs associated with this process, including but not limited to:

  • Court filing fees
  • Legal costs
  • Any enforcement fees ordered by the court

By accepting these Terms & Conditions, the customer acknowledges that they will be liable for the original invoice amount plus all additional charges and any court-related costs incurred due to non-payment.

Liability Disclaimer

Weathers Pest Management provides professional pest control services using standard industry methods, but we do not guarantee complete eradication of pests or prevention of future infestations. Pests may recur if underlying conditions (such as cleanliness, structural gaps, or external reinfestation sources) are not fully controlled. We are not liable for any damages, losses, or costs arising from factors beyond our control – for example, pre-existing structural issues, hidden infestations, environmental conditions or failure of third-party treatments.

If you do not follow our preparation or safety instructions (for example, clearing furniture, sealing entry points, or vacating the premises), we cannot be held liable for any resulting problems. Additional treatments may be needed if the full program of work (including any recommended follow-up services) is not completed as advised.

Our liability for any claim is limited to the value of the service or product in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as loss of earnings, loss of use of property, or loss of business).

Before we start, you must disclose any relevant information (for example, animals, sensitive areas, or health issues). We will not be responsible for harm resulting from undisclosed conditions.

Health and Safety

Compliance and Training: All treatments comply with UK health and safety regulations. We only use UK-authorised pesticides and products, applied by trained, licensed technicians following industry best practices. We adhere to Integrated Pest Management (IPM) principles and relevant legal requirements.

Protective Measures: Our staff use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all instructions on product labels. We follow HSE guidance (COSHH) to minimize health risks. You must also take reasonable precautions: remove children and pets from treatment areas, cover or remove food, and follow any warnings we provide. Always read and follow the label or leaflet instructions on any products used. Failure to do so may be dangerous or even unlawful.

Client Responsibilities: You agree to provide safe access and to cooperate during service (for example, unlocking gates or storerooms, removing obstacles). Tell us of any special needs before treatment (for example, if any household members have asthma, pregnancy, mobility issues or allergies). We will then adjust treatments or take extra precautions, but cannot be liable for health effects if information is withheld.

Post-Treatment: After treatment, follow our aftercare instructions (for example, ventilating rooms or re-entry times). We will give you guidance on what to do to stay safe.

Data Protection (GDPR)

We process your personal data in accordance with UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018). We collect personal information (such as name, address, contact details, property details and billing information) to provide our services. We may also collect special category data (for example, health or disability information relevant to safe treatment). Special category data is handled with extra care and only processed with your explicit consent.

We will only use your data for legitimate business purposes: to arrange and carry out pest-control services, to process payments, and to comply with legal or regulatory obligations. We do not sell or trade your personal information. We may share information with subcontractors or service providers (e.g. payment processors or IT support) only to the extent needed to provide the service.

Security: We keep your data secure using appropriate technical and organizational measures (for example, password-protected electronic records and locked filing cabinets). Access to your data is restricted to the owner/operator of Weathers Pest Management.

Your Rights: You have rights under the UK GDPR: the right to be informed about our data practices, the right to access the personal data we hold on you, the right to correct any inaccuracies, and the right to request erasure or restriction of your data. You can also object to processing (for example, marketing communications). To exercise these rights or to withdraw consent, contact us using the details below. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you believe your data protection rights are not upheld.

Retention: We will keep your personal data only as long as needed to fulfill the service or as required by law (for example, maintaining records for tax purposes). When data is no longer needed, we will securely delete or anonymize it.

Product Use Disclaimer

Usage: Products sold (traps, baits, etc.) are for the user’s own application. You must use all products strictly according to the provided instructions and legal guidelines. We sell only UK-approved pest-control products. Some chemical products may require a professional certificate; it is your responsibility to comply with any licensing rules.

Liability: Effectiveness of products can vary; we make no guarantee that purchased items will eradicate your pest problem. You assume all risk from handling and using our products. We are not liable for injury, loss or damage caused by your misuse of the products or failure to follow instructions.

Returns and Refunds for Goods: As a consumer, you have a 14-day right to cancel an online purchase of goods, starting the day after delivery. If you cancel within 14 days, we will refund your payment as soon as possible. However, you may be responsible for return postage costs, and refunds may be reduced if the goods have been used or damaged. By law, some products (especially sealed or sanitary items) cannot be returned once opened; we will not accept returns of opened pesticide products for safety reasons.

Safety: Always use pest-control products in a safe manner. Keep products out of reach of children and pets, and store them securely.

Business Structure

Sole Trader: Weathers Pest Solutions is a sole trader business, operated solely by the owner. There is no separate limited company or additional staff. The owner is personally responsible for the business and its obligations.

Capacity: As a one-person operation, we have limited capacity and must schedule jobs sequentially. We cannot cover multiple jobs simultaneously, so please book appointments well in advance. We appreciate your understanding that urgent jobs may require additional fees or cannot always be accommodated immediately.

Insurance: Although we are small, we carry public and professional liability insurance as required by law.
